The young soldier received additional training at the Joint Services Command and Staff College in the United Kingdom in 1992, and at the United States Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 2006. Before becoming director of military intelligence in 2010, he served as a mechanized infantry commander.

COP27 - SHARM EL-SHEIKH, SOUTH SINAI, NOVEMBER 2022

In the lead up to COP 27, the Egyptian government insisted on the use of renewable energy during COP 27 and developed the systems needed to rationalize energy consumption in both Cairo and Sharm El-Sheikh airports, International Conference Center, as well as in hotels.

About 22 hotels obtained international certificates as green hotels, with 64 hotels in the process of obtaining Green Star certificates at the time of the event.
